Why do you write? is it for creative construction? change the world? find Nirvana?

I would have to say it's mostly creative but like acting, it allows me to be (or think about being) somebody that I am not. Whether you are writing about it or acting out the part, it allows you to be in another world for awhile.

I agree with you Megan, writing does take you to another place... but when either project is completed, do you feel like you have made a positive contribution to society in some way?
No matter how far fetched a film might be, it adds something to this place, ususally constructive...
Welcome abord Megan ;D

I would say that I don't necessarily set out with an agenda to make social difference by any means. Inadvertantly, it probably happens one way or another.

I write to get energy out, I make movies to put that energy to work, and I love it because the audience takes that same energy back home with them.
