Just wondering... There seems to be trend here in Boise to create independent horror films - not comic, not redeeming - just cultish horror. It's actually one of the reasons I don't get too involved with projects here... It's hard to turn friends down when they are desperate for actors - but I don't want to participate in that genre. And since you can't walk into a movie rental shop and go two feet without confronting another 'Saw' or 'Rob Zombie' flick... I'm wondering if this is a national trend... A friend of mine said it's because horror is cheap to make, but I've worked on several hard-edged, but non-gory, projects that were cheap, cheap... so I don't think that's it. Maybe, it's sort of an outlet for the 'fear factor' we live under these days Is this happening in other smallish towns? Or is the City of Trees unique in it's blood drenched projects?
